Speaking/Listening
What is the goal of your Speaking/Listening class?
The Speaking/Listening class will help you improve your speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills. You will also learn about American culture and life in the United States. What will you do in class? This will be a very active class. You will do lots of speaking activities in pairs or groups. You will also listen to recorded conversations, stories, lectures, and other materials related to everyday life or academic subjects. You and your classmates will also plan and present a short performance for our graduation ceremony--a song, skit, etc. The teaching methods that your teacher uses will be interactive and communicative. This means that you will have many chances to speak and participate during class in order to improve your speaking ability--talking to classmates and working together with them, discussing your ideas, listening and talking about what you heard, and doing presentations individually or with a partner or group. |
